Goals / Remit
The Association of Electricity Producers (AEP) represents the interests of the UK electricity generators. The Association’s members own or operate nearly all the generating capacity in the UK. This includes stations fuelled by coal, gas and nuclear power as well as renewable energies such as biomass, hydro and wind.
The Association’s core activities are representing and informing its members of key developments within the energy sector. The Association works closely with the UK government and regulators and with the EU institutions, to improve understanding of the industry and pursue the best possible climate for investment. The Association’s key objective is promoting stable, clear policy frameworks in which companies are able to make long-term, high capital investments in energy infrastructure.Main EU files targeted
