Goals / Remit
As one of the world’s leading biomass energy companies, Enviva sustainably sources energy-rich wood residues and transforms them into renewable fuels like Wood Chips and Wood Pellets for industrial and utility-scale energy applications. Since Enviva biomass is carbon-neutral, customers who use our renewable fuels significantly reduce their carbon footprint as well as achieve independence from the price volatility of fossil fuels. At Enviva, we help our clients build a sustainable future.
Enviva has been aggregating and delivering hundreds of thousands of tons of biomass fuel to customers around the world since 2004. Currently, Enviva operations source approximately 775,000 tons of woody biomass annually for customers in the United States and Europe. Very soon, we will commission our fourth facility in Northampton, North Carolina and later this year, yet another facility in Southampton, Virginia. With the construction of these two new facilities, by 2014, our production capacity will more than double to 1,775,000 tons per year.
