EHFF is run as a not-profit organisation and does not have salaried employees.
There are at least ten senior expert professionals acting in an advisory capacity and leading EHFF initiatives on a voluntary basis.

EIP for Active and Healthy Ageing. EHFF coordinated a bid to offer a source of expertise on patient empowerment across the whole of the B3 work plan (integrated care) which accepted (see above). EHFF had coordinated a consortium of about 20 organisations named the 'Empathie Network' but is now embarking on a three year project funded by a philanthropic Foundation to develop a European resource centre for patient empowerment, CEmPaC.
Currently also one of a group carrying out 'synergies' study on empowerment for EIP.
Joint Action on Chronic disease. EHFF has been a collaborating partner and has been accepted as CP on the the second JA, Chrodis plus, early in 2018
EHFF was in the first group of signees to the Digital Health Society initiative arising from the Estonian Presidency and is a member of one of the four task forces.- Meetings
