The Danish Consumer Council is an independent membership organisation.
Our members include about 75,000 individuals and 30 organisations, but we work for all Danish consumers.
Our vision: A Denmark where all consumers can make a safe choice.
Our mission: We strengthen consumer empowerment.
The Danish Consumer Council publishes the magazines Forbrugerrådet Tænk, the leading consumer magazine in Denmark, and Forbrugerrådet Tænk Penge.Main EU files targeted

The Danish Consumer Council is an active member of the European Consumers' Organisation (BEUC) and the international consumer organisation, Consumers International (CI). We also play an active role in the TransAtlantic Consumer Dialogue (TACD), which is designed to promote contacts and discuss policy issues with our colleagues in the US.

Communication activities
Participation in about 300 councils, boards and committes, responses to public consultations on new legislation, communication through the press and meetings with politicians and officials. 2016 campaigns for product durability and repairability and against misleading advertising of food. Planned 2017 campaigns for better privacy protection in the social media and passenger rights in collective transportation.
Other activities
The Danish Consumer Council has been active in all the areas connected with the interest of consumers, eg food, financial services, health, safety, legal protection.
