Goals / Remit
The scope of GERG covers any scientific activity regarding research, development, demonstration and information exchange issues relevant to gas infrastructure and gas utilization in Europe at all levels, e.g. processing, supply, distribution, transmission and storage.
Within the above mentioned scope, in a spirit of equality amongst all Members and on a principle of consensus, the objectives of GERG are:
• to promote the interests of the gas industry in Europe, in general, and the gas R&D of the Members, in particular;
• to promote, more effective cooperation between members through cooperative research projects and exchange of information,, within the limits of competition law;
to improve safety and operational reliability and to reduce the environmental impact of gas through efficient gas utilization.Main EU files targeted
