    Complementary Information

In September 2020 ISOC - Bulgaria successfully completed a two-month project (funded by the Internet Society Foundation) fighting misinformation related to the coronavirus pandemic. As part of this project, a new Facebook page was created, which published video conversations with medical doctors and specialists on the subject. The video interviews achieved between 35.1 thousand and 89.1 thousand views. The total number of people ISOC Bulgaria managed to reach through the small scale advertising campaign on Facebook was 979 477 people, all of them on the territory of Bulgaria! The feedback was positive, including for the articles shared, blog entries, etc. The project was covered by some of the national traditional media.

On 15 October 2020 ISOC Bulgaria started a new project COVID-19: facts vs rumors funded by the US State Department. Within this project two types of information has been shared:
    Verified information for COVID-19
Information that shatters rumors, conspiracy theories, etc. related to COVID-19
The Facebook page, which was created for the project, managed to reach 10,760 followers by December 11, and the articles, video interviews and other information has not only reached hundreds of thousands of people, but has been shared widely, and has managed to become a natural place for discussions, which - unlike in other FB pages - is being moderated and thus rejects trolling and encourages positive discussions.
