    SI-IES Ltd European Services Institute is a company certified UNI EN ISO 9001-2015 for design, planning and development of business advisory services for the organizations; strategic and financial planning of business; marketing, analytical, strategic and operational studies and research in the field of communications and telecommunications, design and delivery of training courses for traditional and advanced Learning. SI-IES aims to offer strategic and operational consultancy to companies and public administration, to exploit the potential offered by Innovation and technology (ICT, TLC) and to face market changes, particularly in Digital Transformation.
    The Company’s goal is to provide its expertise in the most professional and effective way, offering the customer a complete solution to the problem or need, including a training phase and a follow-up period. SI-IES Ltd is also specialized in applied research, carrying out analysis, planning and quantitative evaluation, feasibility studies and policy papers. The large-scale expansion of ICT and TLC innovation has transformed the economy and society over the last twenty years.
    New paradigms and new products - services have had a profound effect on companis and market dynamics, requiring a radical transformation to adapt to the expectations of the citizens -consumers. Often, the necessary professional skills are not available in the organisations, opening up market spaces to specialized consulting companies. SI-IES is active in the field of Industry 4.0 by promotion and participation in national and European initiatives to foster competitivity and the access to Digitalisation towards Digital Single Market.

    SI-IES srl European Services Institute was founded in the early nineties by the President Prof. Francesco Chiappetta, business manager and academy professor, who makes use of his profound work experience to provide innovative and customized management advice.

    Over time, the founder has involved high-level professionals in the organisation, who have gained experience in differentiated and complex contexts, forming a network of consultants that today is able to face any aspects of company's life, with an integrated and multidisciplinary approach that ensures consistent and effective solutions.     During the last closed financial year SI-IES performed the following set of activities: training and capacity-building on the topics of Industry 4.0 and Enterprise 4.0, Smart Energy, Agrofood, alignment to European policies in the domains of Smart Manufacturing, Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency, Sustainability; relations with regional and national public authorities (education, research, public administration) to provide technical assistance to participation in European initiatives and funding opportunities.

    Communication activities

    During 2017 SI-IES prepared and started the initiative DIHV - Digital Innovation Hub Virtuale, responding to DEI – Digitising European Industry and to the objectives of the Italian national Plan Industria 4.0 to support companies (especially SMEs) in the access to digitalization.
    The DIHV, gathering the competences of about 20 experts, is now registered in the EU Catalogue of DIHs managed by JRC in cooperation with DG CONNECT (S3 Platform).
    The activities of the DIHV [www.dihv.it] include:
    - Interaction with DG CONNECT to be aligned with European initiatives within the context of Digitising European Industry – DEI, COM (2016) 180, and Industrial Policy Strategy in the areas of Regulatory Framework, Digital Innovation Hubs, Digital skills and jobs, Partnerships & Platforms.
    - Use of media channels [e.g. online magazine Sentieri Digitali www.sentieridigitali.it] with the aim of awareness raising, public outreach about the issues of: Digitisation of European and national industries and enterprises (with a particular reference to the needs of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises); Digital Transformation of public administration and Smart Cities (Connectivity, Transport); Digital economy and society (Telecoms, Data management policies, ICT Security, Privacy, Digital Single Market); Industry and Business. These topics are monitored and archived by making use of an internal digital archive ODAR, storing a variety of studies covering the fields of innovation from the perspective of strategy, business, organization and policy.
    - Meetings and roundtables involving established or emerging players in the business and innovation field as well as representatives from the public sector (e.g. Telcom Italia, Nokia Italia, Region Lazio, ESA etc.), with the aim of discussion and monitoring of European initiatives, policies and roadmaps in the aforementioned areas.
