    Current activities include:
    - A variety of assignments for the EC Directorate General for Growth relating to bioeconomy market creation, regional strategies for innovation and investment in clean chemistry and business innovation monitoring.
    - Assignments for the EC Directorate General 'Connect' on the matter of access to risk finance for high potential hi-tech SMEs. These include studies, recommendations and advisory as well as direct actions to stimulate greater flows of finance among private organisations
    - Advisory services to private companies relating to technology and business innovation in the fields of carbon capture and use, resource efficiency, biotechnology and industrialisation
    - Advisory services to private companies on foreign direct investment and on acquisition of finance for innovation and for industrialisation
    - Advisory services to private companies on the matters of bioeconomy policy and bioenergy policy in Europe, including communications and outreach on behalf of these companies.
    - Provision of expert services on public grant funded projects relating to resource efficiency, innovation, investment, transport, energy and environment as well as supporting organisations in the preparation of applications for research and innovation grants.

    Other activities

    I contribute to the work of a number of European public-private organisations such as the Photonics PPP, the BioBased Industry Joint Undertaking, ACARE (the Advisory Council for Aviation Research and innovation in Europe), the European Biofuels Technology Platform and the Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking.
