In 2017 Kaspersky launched its Global Transparency Initiative (GTI) for greater transparency and accountability in cybersecurity. The GTI includes:
- Data Care through relocation of Kaspersky's core infrastructure to Switzerland for the utmost data protection and security. We already relocated the cyberthreat related data of our users from Europe, Canada and the U.S. and many Asian countries;
- Dedicated Transparency Centers for greater confidence in and knowledge of cybersecurity products through security briefings and external reviews of the company's source code, software updates and threat detection rules. Our Transparency Centers are located in Zurich, Madrid, São Paulo and Kuala Lumpur while in 2021 one more Transparency Centers in Canada will be launched. https://www.kaspersky.com/transparency-center-offices
- Secure and reliable engineering practices through independent third-party assessment. Kaspersky has successfully passed the SOC 2 audit by one of the 'Big Four' companies (https://www.kaspersky.com/about/compliance-soc2) as well as received the ISO 27001 certification for its data services https://www.kaspersky.com/about/iso-27001.
- Vulnerabilities Management Program through responsible cooperation with security researchers: we run our Bug Bounty Program together with HackerOne and award up to $100,000 for the most critical security flaws found in our systems. We also published our Ethical principles for the Responsible Vulnerability Disclosure, which lay out how we work with researchers and the security community to better manage product security. These principles are aimed at enhancing transparency and efficiency in vulnerability handling and mitigating harm and risks to users. https://www.kaspersky.com/blog/vulnerability-disclosure-ethics/35581/
