One of the Kaspersky Lab teams is a member of COMPACT project and has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 740712 (https://www.compact-project.eu/en).
In this project, Kaspersky Lab has developed the GDPR Security Awareness Simulation Game to protect local Public Administration from Cybersecurity Threats) & help local public administrations become more cyber-resilient.

Kaspersky Lab works together with the global IT security community, national and regional law enforcement agencies (e.g. INTERPOL), as well as Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERTs) worldwide, including taking part in joint cyberthreat investigations and conducting trainings for cybersecurity specialists. KL is also involved into discussion of some cybersecurity initiatives through its membership in the advisory groups (e.g. ENISA IoT Security Experts Group).
In 2017 Kaspersky Lab launched its Global Transparency Initiative (GTI) to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to accountability and transparency. In the framework of GTI, Kaspersky Lab
- opens three Transparency Centers as dedicated facilities for source code reviews;
- relocates its data processing and data storage for European customers to Switzerland, the country globally known for its neutrality and stringent data protection regulation;
- initiates he independent assessment of its engineering practices;
- runs its Bug Bounty Program to reward reports for the most critical vulnerabilities found in KL systems with an award of up to $100,000.- Meetings
