    Goals / Remit

Ember is the trading name for Sandbag Climate Campaign CIC.

Ember is an independent climate think-tank focused on accelerating the global electricity transition.

Our objective is to accelerate the global transition to clean electricity

Our theory of change is to turn data into climate action: we gather, curate and analyse data on the global power sector.

We use our data and analysis to:

Support high impact, politically viable policies that accelerate the power sector transition.

    Empower campaign organisations.

    Shape the global narrative.

From 2008-2020, we worked to reform the EU Emissions Trading System. Now we're turning our focus globally, and using our utilities and data expertise to accelerate the international transition to clean power.

    Main EU files targeted

BREF; Revision of the Emissions Trading System, the EU Climate Governance proposals, 2030 Climate & Energy Package, Revision of the Carbon Capture & Storage Directive, Air Quality Directive, Talanoa Dialogue
