    Goals / Remit

    Specialised Nutrition Europe (SNE) is the association representing the specialised nutrition industry in Europe. SNE is composed of National Associations from 19 European countries. Our members represent companies producing tailor-made food products for populations with very specific nutritional needs, including infants and young children, patients under medical supervision, sportspeople, overweight and obese consumers, and people suffering from coeliac disease.
    MISSION
    We unite and represent the specialised nutrition industry across Europe to contribute to positive framework conditions for our products for people with specific nutritional needs.

    Recent communication activities include position papers on the Packaging Regulation, on Date Marking and on front ofpack nutrition labelling, as well as some communication related to non EU institutions (Codex Alimentarius; World health Organisation). Detailed information is available on our website: https://www.specialisednutritioneurope.eu/ In addition, SNE develops educational materials, such as guidelines, aimed primarily at its members but made available via its website and social media to all interested parties. We are also active on Linkedin and X (formerly twitter)

    Other activities

    - SNE is part of the 45 EU-level stakeholder organisations which are members of the Advisory group on Food Chain and Animal and Plant Health. As member of this Advisory group, SNE provides its views to the European Commission on relevant food policies, participating to the twice-yearly plenary sessions organised by the European Commission as well as the ad-hoc working groups.

    - SNE is a partner to the European Week of Sport, an initiative to promote participation in sport and physical activity among European citizens. Through this partnership, SNE confirms its commitment to dialogue and cooperation between policy makers and the sport sector in order to inspire people to do more sport and physical activity
