    Goals / Remit

    The mission of Transmissible BV is "Enabling health education and training, through high-quality services with a minimum ecological footprint, to strengthen international disease prevention and control."

    Transmissible develops novel, creative, state-of-the-art techniques to develop learning tools for public health agencies as well as industry.

    Transmissible coordinates an international network of public health specialists, training experts, visual storytellers, game- & experience designers and other creative enterprises.

    Communication activities

    Transmissible bids for projects to develop training materials for the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), for the World Health Organisation (WHO), for national public health organisations in Europe, well as for industry.

    Between 2016 and 2020, we have performed the following projects for ECDC:
    - Design and perform a pilot study for surveillance of HIV Drug Resistance in the EU
    - Advice on and develop a report on National Strategies for Prevention and Control of Sexually Transmitted Infections
    - Design and Develop a handbook for preparedness against bioterrorism from a European Perspective
    - Update 5 sets of training materials
    - Provide training on evidence-based policy

    In the same period, projects for the WHO included
    - Consultancy for surveillance capacity building needs assessment, with a pilot in Malawi
    - Consultancy for surveillance strategy in Lebanon
    - Design and development of an eLearning course for Influenza Burden of Disease
    - Under a Long Term Agreement contract:
    * Workshop on Risk Communication in Washington DC
    * 16 consultants working part-time or full time for the learning team of WHE at WHO
    * translating a learning game on influenza preparedness
    * developing an eTutorial on cost assessment of Influenza Vaccination Programmes
    * Develop a One health Training Course
    * Perform an evaluation of Rapid Response Team Training worldwide

    For private industry, we have performed the following projects:
    - Moderate discussion forums on vaccination policy at public health conferences
    - develop in-house training for managing directors on vaccination
    - develop an evidence-based handbook for EU policymakers on various perspectives on vaccination
    - develop a stakeholder engagement game for vaccination stakeholders

    For national and regional public health organisations we have performed the following projects
    - prepare regional simulation exercises for pandemic preparedness
    - develop learning games for universities and schools of public health
    - various consultancy for individual local organisations
