    Goals / Remit

Milieudefensie has been working toward a sustainable and fair Netherlands since 1971. If we share the earth fairly with each other, end pollution and take no more from the earth than it can support, prosperity will be possible for all: for ourselves, people in other parts of the world and our children and grandchildren.

    Milieudefensie works on six themes:

    Climate justice
    Transport
    Industry
    Food&Agriculture
    Forests
    Energy

With a focus on a fair transition towards a sustainable society

Milieudefensie works collaboratively with as many people as possible: locally, nationally and internationally, as a member of Friends of the Earth International.

Milieudefensie is an association with 84,000 members and donors. This association has paid employees and its national headquarters is in Amsterdam.
