Goals / Remit
The Flemish European Network of Persons with Disabilities aims to ensure that the rights of persons with disabilities are guaranteed as included in the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the NOOZO report.
we also want to unite people with disabilities through networking.
This by bringing people with disabilities together, but also by forming a bridge between the person with a disability and the services already available.
Furthermore, through lobbying at the Flemish and European level, we also want to form a bridge between both political levels and ensure that European and Flemish legislation do not contradict each other and are no disadvantageous for the person with a disability.
We also want to create support for people with disabilities and will play an informative role to ensure the increase in independence and maximum inclusion in society of the person with a disability.Main EU files targeted
With the Flemish European Network of Persons with Disabilities, we mainly want to focus on legislative proposals or policy areas that affect the lives of people with disabilities both in Flanders and in the entire European Union as will be:
- Mobility
- Work
- Accessibility of our society in total
- Equal rights
- The human rights of persons with disabilitiesAddress
