    Goals / Remit

    As a fully state-owned, not-for-profit company with a specific service mandate, VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd is part of Finland's innovation system and operates under the mandate of the Ministry of Employment and the Economy and receives budget funding from the state. As an impartial non-profit Research and Technology Organisation (RTO) and with the national mandate and mission to support economic competitiveness, societal development and innovation, VTT carries out research and innovation activities for the needs of industry and knowledge-based society.
