    Communication activities

Objective is to lobby for proportionate regulation of the intermediary sector - for example in relation to DORA - Digital Operational Resilience Act, the exemption of small to medium size intermediaries. In respect of MIFID - Markets in Financial Instruments Directive/MIFIR - Markets in Financial Instruments Regulation - oppose proposals to introduce a commission ban. In relation to Capital Markets Union/ Retail Investment Strategy lobby Commissioner McGuinness and other relevant MEPS in relation to proposals to ban commission/inducements. Brokers Ireland lobbies MEP directly and also through BIPAR the European Federation of Insurance and financial intermediaries.
We do so via emails, letters, meetings and distributing our publications.
