    Autodesk is a leader in 3D design, engineering, construction, manufacturing and entertainment software, developing a broad portfolio of 3D software for global markets. Customers across the manufacturing, architecture, engineering, building, construction, and media and entertainment industries use Autodesk software to design and make almost anything.

    Autodesk acquired Delcam Ltd. (Delcam), one of the world’s leading suppliers of advanced computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software, in February 2014. With the exception of certain non-material legacy Delcam subsidiaries and joint ventures, since August 2016 Delcam has been integrated as an Autodesk entity and its activities therefore are reported as Autodesk’s in this report for the purpose of transparency.     In calculating the figures above, we have adopted a comprehensive approach and have sought to capture all activities carried out by Autodesk, Delcam and / or our external consultants for the purpose of directly or indirectly influencing EU policy or legislative initiatives. Consistent with Transparency Register guidance, our estimate includes expenses (e.g., salaries, operating costs, travel costs, etc.), for Autodesk and Delcam personnel, as well as for external consultants to the extent they are involved in outreach to the EU institutions. We have also disclosed all association membership expenses that are attributable to EU advocacy activities.

    Communication activities

    Autodesk participates, at the European Commission’s invitation, in events organized by the Directorate General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CNECT) and the Directorate General for Research and Innovation (DG RTD). Autodesk also supports Commission efforts as a member of the European Factories of the Future Research Association (EFFRA) and through its active involvement in Innovate UK, and participates in related collaborative projects (e.g., SYMPLEXITY, HyProCell and LASIMM).
