Goals / Remit
DSO Entity is an organisation with an official mandate to work on the development of electricity network codes, as provided by the Electricity Market Regulation (2019/943/EU).
DSO Entity represents 900+ electricity Distribution System Operators (DSOs) members regardless of their size, connecting over 250 million customers in 27 EU Member States. We unite DSOs to deliver a just transition to a CO2-neutral energy system, ensuring security of supply with future-proof network codes and enhanced collaboration between TSOs and DSOs.
DSO Entity is committed to ensuring balanced representation of electricity DSOs in the European Union. It also commits to being transparent in all its work and providing a platform where members can contribute to drafting network codes, provide neutral expertise and share knowledge.Main EU files targeted
DSO Entity works on energy and climate files:
- Network Code on Demand Response ( Distributed flexibility)
- Existing Network Codes (Grid Connection network Codes)
- Implementing Regulation on electricity metering and consumption data
