    Goals / Remit

The clusters collaborating in the European Automotive Cluster Network EACN aim at strengthening the competitiveness of their respective members. EACN is a platform allowing clusters exchanging best practices, sharing information, working on joint collaborative projects and initiatives and conducting joint actions. Clusters are entry points for their members to the networks of members from the partner clusters and thus facilitate creating B2B or enabling innovation through collaborative projects.

    Main EU files targeted

The automotive industry is crucial for the European economy. EACN wants to contribute to the competitiveness of the sector. EACN represents the interests of all actors of the value chain with a focus on SMEs and their specific needs and difficulties. This includes industrial modernisation issues as well as those related to industrial adaptation to adapt to mayor changing (zero-emission vehicles / connected, automated and autonomous vehicles / economic and political frame conditions, shared mobility and others), as well as the related re-/upskilling needs for employees. As a reaction to the sanitary crisis, EACN developed a joint vision for the European automotive industry post crisis (https://www.clustercollaboration.eu/sites/default/files/profile-article/joint_proposal_pact_for_skills_.pdf).
