    Goals / Remit

    EUCOPRO is composed by Waste Treatment companies that prepare waste alternative fuels and raw material mainly from hazardous waste, with the aim of recovering them in co-processing processes, such as cement kilns.
    Its main objectives are:
    - Being associated in preparation for legislative, regulatory and/or standardisation measures with a link to the activities of Association members, and to monitor their implementation,
    - Conducting or monitoring all studies with a link to the activities of association members,
    - Defining the criteria for the best available technologies in a context of sustainable development,

    Main EU files targeted

    - The European Green Deal (and its linked thematic such as "New Plan on the Circular Economy", "Ambition zero pollution", "climate/Energy topics",..... ),
    - Industrial Emissions regulatory topics (IED revision and E-PRTR revision), BREF review and implementation (mainly Waste Treatment BREF and Waste Incineration BREF),
    - Waste regulatory topics included waste shipment regulation and Basel convention, POP's regulation,...
    - Waste studies managed by the Commission linked with waste and/or Industrial Emissions topics,
    - Circular economy and all the linked topics,
    - Ressource and Energy strategies and efficiency topics,
    - Micro-polluants topics such as endocrine disruptors, PFOS,....
    - Seveso Directive and linked topics.

    As indicated previously, Eucopro is member of the IED article 13 Forum and was also expert in several BREF TWG such as waste treatment, and incineration TWG BREF.

    EUCOPRO is also members of the meeting of correspondents for the waste shipment regulation.

    EUCOPRO also attends workshops organized on the different topics and studies developped on the thematics listed previously.

    If needed, according the draft regulatory topic, EUCOPRO could also sent contribution in the contexte of Public Consultations and/or meet MEP and/or people from the Commission.
