    Goals / Remit

Heathrow Airport Holdings Limited (HAL) owns and runs Heathrow Airport, the UK's aviation hub and largest port by value. HAL ensures the smooth and safe operation and running of the airport.

    Main EU files targeted

Our activities are based on EU initiatives and policies that would affect the operation of the airport. These are primarily general aviation policy concerns, for example SESAR policy and deployment, sustainability, slot regulation, and airspace policy e.g. EU Directive 598.

This can also concern other policy areas e.g. Brexit, Sustainable Aviation Fuels, Decarbonisation, Security, Borders and Trade.

Engagement on these matters may involve EU organisations including, but not limited to: European Parliament, Commission, Taskforce 50, DG Move, trade associations, businesses operating in the EU and others.
