    Goals / Remit

    To provide inforamtion and advice to the clients. Attend meetings on behalf of the clients, concerning drafted and in force EU policies and legislation; implementation of legislation, control and enforcement in particular with regard to EU fisheries and environmental issues as well as animal welfare (fish). Special in depth knowledge about recreational fisheries in Europe and globally. Contracted by the European Anglers Alliance and the European Fishing Tackle Trade Association since September 2001.

    The Forum establishes contact and communication between MEPs and their 25 million angling constituents. It serves as a forum for discussion of issues on or related to the European Parliament agenda concerning recreational fishing, biodiversity, invasive species, the Water Framework Directive, ecosystem services, rural development, fishing tourism and other relevant issues;
    The Forum gives MEPs access to EAA and EFTTA in-house experts and a broad network of experts and scientists.

    The Natura 2000 Users Forum: A forum for nature users interests (hunters, recreational anglers, landowners, farmers, forest owners..)

    Communication activities

    Involved with the "Forum on Recreational Fisheries and Aquatic Environment", which secretariat is provided by the European Anglers Alliance (EAA) and the European Fishing Tackle Trade Association (EFTTA).
