    Organizace pro pomoc uprchlíkům (OPU) je nezisková, nevládní a humanitární organizace, která byla založena v Praze v roce 1991 jako občanské sdružení. Od roku 2014 je OPU spolkem podle občanského zákoníku.
    OPU již 30 let pomáhá uprchlíkům a cizincům v České republice.
    Mezi hlavní činnosti organizace patří poskytování bezplatného právního a sociálního poradenství žadatelům o mezinárodní ochranu a další cizincům v České republice, pořádání vzdělávacích programů pro laickou i odbornou veřejnost a další aktivity zaměřené na podporu integrace cizinců.
    Jedním z cílů OPU je boj proti xenofobii a rasové a národnostní nesnášenlivosti.

The topic of the meeting was discussing the situation of refugees in the Czech Republic.     Organizace pro pomoc uprchlíkům (Organisation for Aid to Refugees, shortly OPU), founded in 1991, is the oldest and largest refugee and immigrant aid organisation in the Czech Republic with focus on legal and social aid to disadvantaged groups in refugee and immigrant population. OPU has an excellent expertise in legal representation and social aid including integration of disadvantaged groups on the labor market.
