    Die Salzgitter AG gehört zu den traditionsreichen Konzernen in Deutschland mit Fokus der Geschäftstätigkeit auf der Erzeugung von Stahl, seiner Weiterverarbeitung (Flachstahl, Grobblech, Röhren) sowie Aktivitäten im Bereich Spezialmaschinenbau. Der Außenumsatz betrug im Jahr 2022 circa 12,6 Mrd. €, die Kapazität lag bei rund 7 Mio. t Rohstahl; über 24.000 Mitarbeitende sind im Konzern beschäftigt.

    Der Unternehmensstrategie "Salzgitter AG 2030" folgend, wollen wir den Konzern mit innovativen Produkten und Prozessen als eigenständigen Marktführer für "Circular Economy Solutions" etablieren. Wir verpflichten uns zu verbindlichen, wissenschaftsbasierten CO2-Reduktionszielen und sind der Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) beigetreten.
