    Complementary Information

All members of PERC are volunteers and generally participate in our activities on a voluntary, unpaid basis. However, members of PERC are sometimes involved in paid activities such as training courses and research activities on an irregular basis so it is difficult to provide an overall estimate of the time spent on such activities. Most of PERC's routine activity is carried out by the 5 members of the PERC Executive.

PERC was a co-organiser of the international conference “MIN WIN‐WIN: Establishing Europe‐wide minerals reporting standards – the key to reducing risk and increasing opportunity” from 20 to 21 November 2014 in Brussels. This two-day event was held at the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences, a privileged venue located in immediate proximity of the European Parliament, and was supported by a broad range of organisations active in the field of minerals and mining.
