    Communication activities

    1. EU research programmes
PERC has participated in several of the EU’s Horizon 2020 research projects related to the minerals industry, in particular, the INTRAW (INTernational cooperation on mineral RAW materials), MINATURA (Mineral Deposits of Public Importance), and MINEA (MINing the European Anthroposphere) projects.
    2. INTRAW
The INTRAW project led to the establishment of The International Raw Materials Observatory (INTRAW), a not for profit independent, honest broker, providing authoritative specialised support on raw materials cooperation, diplomacy and foresight. PERC is one of INTRAW’s member organisations, since INTRAW’s key objective of promoting international cooperation on mineral raw materials research & innovation, education & outreach is aligned with PERC’s objectives, in particular PERC’s participation in CRIRSCO (The Committee for Mineral Reserves International Reporting Standards).
    3. Co-organiser of the WINWIN conference
PERC was a co-organiser of the international conference “MIN WIN‐WIN: Establishing Europe‐wide minerals reporting standards – the key to reducing risk and increasing opportunity” from 20 to 21 November 2014 in Brussels. This two-day event was held at the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences, a privileged venue located in immediate proximity of the European Parliament, and was supported by a broad range of organisations active in the field of minerals and mining.
