    Complementary Information

When responsible for Europe wide consultations the Europe's People's Forum Network has its staff paid on a professional scale.

When advocating for citizens engagement and for EU-wide citizens consultations the organisation has worked voluntarily.

Significant work load has been given as assistance to develop and refine methodologies for the Conference on the Future of Europe - through the EP, the EC and the Council and member states.

The Secretary General works for EPF roughly 35 hours a week, but also carries out similar amount of hours of consultancies for his personal consultants' company Media Progress Aps

1-2 Interns work for the EPF - the last year through online.

The technical partners of EPF particularly but also national civil society and social partner organisations work actively for the EPF when preparing applications to the Horizon and Europe for Citizens programmes.

And particularly when discussing and assisting with methodological inputs to the Conference on the Future of Europe. Particularly the assistance to AFCO in EP has taken much time.

The technical partner organisations are estimated to have around 1000 employees in total working in areas related to the sector dealing with citizens' participation, democracy and similar. However, obviously the participating universities have much larger staff in other areas.

    Communication activities

The EPF has carried out very substantial inputs to the methodology and priorities developed by the European Parliament through an extensive collaboration with AFCO. The EPF has further provided substantial support to the methodologies developed by the European Commission and indirectly by the Council.

Really substantial support has been given to AFCO's initiative to establish a permanent mechanism for increased democracy through citizens' initiatives in a permanent mechanism.

During the last 4 years the EPF has carried out substantial public relations in favour of the participatory involvement of citizens in decision and policy making of the European Union.

In the run-up to the Conference on the Future of Europe the EPF has in 10-15 articles and interviews in European media promoted the active participation of citizens in the conference dialogue.

The EPF has been lead in preparing applications for support to cross-European projects, carrying out citizens consultations

The project aims to promote citizen participation in the EU policy-making process regarding migration from different perspectives such as economic, security and environmental among others. The goal is to gather experts, citizens and political leaders to discuss, give their views and achieve a policy briefing together. Following this strategy, the project aims to be innovative, inclusive and interactive.

JOINT CITIZENS’ FORCES – COMMON EUROPEAN FUTURE (JOCICEF)
Europe's People's Forum has been part of the project JOINT CITIZENS’ FORCES – COMMON EUROPEAN FUTURE (JOCICEF), co-funded by the Europe for Citizens Programme of the European Union and under the auspices of the President of the European Parliament.
