    Housing Europe is the European Federation of Public, Cooperative & Social Housing. Since 1988 it's a network of 45 national & regional federations gathering 42.800 housing providers in 24 countries. Together they manage over 26 million homes, about 11% of existing dwellings in Europe.

    Housing Europe established a Secretariat in Brussels in 2001 with the appointment of Claire Roumet as Secretary General. Since then the team has been steadily expanding. It is responsible for the coordination of the day-to-day running of the organization. It is structured in three main departments: Policy Formulation and Lobbying, Communication and Research.
