Goals / Remit
IDF Europe represents the voice of diabetes uniting all stakeholders across the diabetes ecosystem. IDF Europe is an umbrella organization of 73 national diabetes associations in 46 countries in its membership. We are a diverse and inclusive multicultural network of national diabetes associations, representing both patients and health care professionals. IDF Europe is committed to tackling the diabetes epidemic through the chronic disease lens.
The IDF Europe mission is to promote diabetes care, prevention and a cure worldwide.
IDF Europe vision is to improve the quality of life of people with diabetes and those at risk.

IDF Europe is involved in a number of EU funded projects but currently does not receive any operating grant. The amounts of EU grant funding received in 2024 will be updated as soon as the financial report for 2024 is available. Some grants ended in 2023 (one of the Erasmus + grant) and a new EU funded project (Horizon 2020) started in 2024. All other grants are ongoing.
