Goals / Remit
Plastic Energy is at the forefront of the use and development of a chemical recycling technology to transform traditionally non-recyclable plastic waste into hydrocarbon products (TACOIL), being used to make recycled, virgin-quality plastics. Plastic Energy currently operates two commercial plants in Spain 24/7, 330days a year. It is one of the few companies worldwide that has sold millions of litres of recycled oils (TACOIL) from the conversion of end of life plastic waste, using patented technology. It is leading the way in its field in the transition to a low-carbon circular economy for plastics. Unlike many companies working on similar solutions, Plastic Energy is focussing with the value-chain on closed-loop chemical recycling.

Communication activities
1) Plastic Energy has announced the development of projects across Europe with key strategic partners, including SABIC, Ineos, Total, Nestle. We expect to develop 10 chemical recycling projects in Europe by 2025.
2) We are in the vanguard of this game-changing business because we are the only company actively converting end-of-life plastic waste into the optimal feedstock to make new plastic (Plastic2Plastic). Strong collaboration with the value-chain has resulted in producing food-grade plastic products with recycled content from chemical recycling. These are already sold on the European market (products from Unilever, Tesco, Mondelez, Mars...)
3) Following our commitment to the Ellen MacArthur foundation, we expect to have processed a minimum of 300,000 tonnes of plastic by 2025.
4) We are signatory of the Circular Plastic Alliance and the UK Plastic Pact.
5) We are an active and founding member of Chemical Recycling Europe.Other activities
