Founded in 1978, Mediaset S.p.A. is an integrated multi-platform TV operator (free/pay, linear and non-linear) and one of Europe’s most innovative multimedia production and distribution groups. Its core business is commercial television broadcasting in Italy and Spain. At 31 December 2016, the employees of the Mediaset Group companies are 5,519 (Italy 4,245 employees and in Spain 1,274). Mediaset S.p.A. is listed on the Milan Stock Exchange since 1996, while Mediaset España is listed on the Ibex 35 since 2005.
