Besides these, APREN is also following the new State Aids Guidelines for 2014-2020, with collaboration of other european energy associations.

    Communication activities

Annually APREN conducts an international conference dedicated to relevant issues for the renewable energy sector. APREN's Annual Conference 2018, entitled "Portugal Renewable Summit: Market and Renewables" was a reflection on the industry trends, from the point of view of the producers, users and the society as a whole. This conference had a special focus on political matters that deeply affect the portuguese energy sector, and counted with the participation of important political figures from the different portuguese political parties.

APREN has also a strong involvement at the European level, manifested primarily through the participation in European projects and through its partnership with several European Associations that defend the technologies that APREN represents, which enable the monitoring of European Energy Policy and developments in the sector in other European Member States.
APREN participation in the associative international activities is mainly reached through the following Associations: EREF – European Renewable Energy Federation (in which APREN has the vice presidency), WindEurope – European Wind Energy Association, Solar Power Europe, AEBIOM – European Biomass Association and REN21 - Renewable Energy Policy Network for the 21st Century.

    Other activities

APREN has a website (www.apren.pt) that is daily updated with news and communications about the Association's activities and data concerning the renewable energy sector.
Monthly, APREN's president publishes an opinion article in APREN's website and in the magazine “Indústria e Ambiente”.
Every year APREN organizes an Annual Conference with great impact in the Portuguese Energy Sector to which some Opinion Makers, national or international, are invited.
Also, APREN publishes a yearbook concerning all the Associates Power Plants characteristics and production data as well as global statistics and performance of the Portuguese Renewable Sector.
